Weekly Business Lesson #8: Stay in the Game Long Enough to Get Lucky.

No matter how much you plan, there’s no way to predict what will happen when you start a business.
There are no guarantees. No roadmap. No perfect formula.
You just have to show up every day. Work hard. Take risks. Keep learning. Keep building. And trust that eventually—if you don’t quit—things will start to click.
That’s why this quote hit me hard this week:
“Stay in the game long enough to get lucky.”
Because the truth is:
🔹 The opportunity you're waiting for won’t come if you quit early.
🔹 The breakthrough moment doesn’t show up on a calendar.
🔹 And the “luck” you’re hoping for? Most of the time, it comes after a lot of unseen effort.
Running Duke Detailing hasn’t been easy. Some days are slow. Some weeks feel like a grind. But I’m learning that consistency is the most underrated advantage in business.
When you stay in the game, you give yourself the chance to:
✔️ Meet the right client
✔️ Land the perfect referral
✔️ Learn a lesson that changes everything
✔️ Catch momentum you couldn’t see coming
So if you’re in that uncertain season, keep showing up, and keep doing the work.
